Our flower farm
At the beginning of 2021 we purchased our farm and moved our set up across from where we’d been farming previously.
Our goal for growing our own flowers has always been to bring unusual and interesting flowers to our brides with a particular focus on garden roses as these are hard to come by in New Zealand
Our new farm has been created using no dig methods leaving the soil structure undisturbed, which has many benefits for soil health as well as leaving the carbon captured in the soil.
We focus on natural amendments and fertilisers and natural/organic pesticides with a goal of being a completely regenerative farm without the need for any pesticides.
We incorporate animals into our flower farm and utlilise our pet ducks as organic slug and snail control. We continue to invite more birds to our garden by planting trees around the borders of our flower beds.
